Zhou Guanyu said that he will start his second season in Formula 1 with more confidence.


The Alfa Romeo driver made his championship debut in 2022. In the first half of the season, Zhou was far behind the experienced Valtteri Bottas in points, but after the summer break he often found himself faster than his teammate.


Being new to Formula 1 is always difficult. I have been through various situations, ups and downs. I`m happy with what we achieved in the first season.


Of course, this year the expectations are higher. It`s simple: I want to earn points more often for the team and for myself, to finish higher. Eighth place is my best result forecast by record of football predictions in F1, so it would be great to get to the top 6 and qualify more often for the third segment of qualifying. I believe the machine is capable of this. The fight in the middle group will be very tight, so the details will decide everything. Fewer errors and stability are the key to success.


Last year in Bahrain and in the first few stages I was very nervous. This year I`m much more relaxed. I think returning to the same tracks and the same challenges will be completely different from a psychological point of view, " Guanyu noted.
