Derek Chang will take over as president and CEO of Liberty Media, the company that owns Formula 1, on February 1.
Championship President and CEO Stefano Domenicali will report to Liberty Media`s executive committee - Chang, former F1 boss Chase Carey and Dob Bennett.
The former chief executive of Liberty Media was Greg Maffei, whose departure from the company was announced last November. In recent months, the acting has been John Malone.
